Hello! I am excited to be at Rocky Mountain for my third year as a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist! Before this role, I spent 5 years as a classroom teacher in Adams 12, where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade. Being an SEL Specialist gives me the opportunity to support the students, staff, and families of Rocky Mountain in all areas of social and emotional health and well-being. This work is my passion and I cannot think of any other job that I would rather be doing!
I am a Colorado native, but I ventured out to the University of North Carolina (go Tarheels!) for my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I returned home upon graduation because I missed this beautiful state! I received my Master's Degree in 2018 from CU Denver in Education and Human Development with an emphasis in Learning. Outside of school, I love to read (fiction and non-fiction!), exercise, and watch tv/movies. I love spending time with my friends and family, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Broncos, Nuggets, and Tarheels!
