I am a long time Denverite, grew up in the Midwest and received my BFA in photography from Southern Illinois University in 1992. Upon graduation, I worked in various areas in photography from commercial to Journalism all over the world. In 1998 I landed in Colorado, went back to school and became an Art Teacher for Adams 12 at Rocky Mountain Elementary School.
During my tenure here in Colorado I have shown my work in Miami, Baltimore, NY Chile, Guatemala, and right here on Santa Fe in Denver. I work in many mediums although my photography is described as formalist light paintings inspired by artists like Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, and the formalist movement of the 50’s and 60’s. I am not afraid of color and action and work with traditional film. Furthermore, and lucky for us, when I am not teaching or making art I am out looking for BigFoot keeping our city safe.
