Our Principal
Hello Rocky Mountain Rams! My name is Kate Vogel and I am honored to be serving in my 5th year as the principal of Rocky Mountain Elementary. I have been a part of the Adams 12 community for more than 20 years and have served our school district as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. The 24-25 school year will mark my 11th year as a school principal! Having had experiences in many different school settings, I am thrilled to continue to serve the Rocky Mountain community.
My hometown is Buffalo, NY and I moved to Colorado 21 years ago. I am married and have two children! I spend almost all of my time outside of school supporting my two children, Rylee (15) and JP (10), driving them to sports and keeping up with their social calendars! We have a playful English labrador named Norman. We are an outdoorsy family and love to hike, camp, fish and ski.
High CARE and High EXPECTATIONS is our school identity. At Rocky Mountain Elementary, our goal is to serve ALL students that attend our school and provide them with exceptional care and compassion while holding students to the highest standards for academics and behavior. We align with our district mission of knowing our students by Name, Strength and Need and believe in putting students first in all of our decision making.
I am looking forward to another successful school year and am grateful to see the amazing improvements being made both academically and socially at our school. We have an open door policy, please reach out to us with comments, questions, concerns and compliments! We look forward to partnering with you for the 24-25 school year. We believe partnerships with our community and families is the key to student success!
Take Care,
Kate Vogel
