Summer Break Family and Community Update - 5/22/26

Dear Rocky Mountain Families,

We had a great final week of school, and it was especially fun celebrating our youngest learners at Kindergarten Graduation and honoring our oldest learners during 5th Grade Continuation on Wednesday! These celebrations were wonderful reminders of the growth, perseverance, and hard work our students have shown throughout the year. From learning to read and write, to tackling challenging math concepts, exploring science and social studies, building friendships, and growing as leaders in our school community, our Rams have accomplished so much this year. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and grateful for the partnership and support of our families along the way.

As we head into summer, we’d like to share a few final updates and important dates to add to your calendar for August.

Intent to Return for the 2026-2027 School Year

Please complete this form to let us know if your student(s) will be returning to Rocky Mountain for the 2026-2027 school year. Your response will help us plan class placements for next year. Thank you to those families that have already completed the form! 

 

Office Closure

Our office will be closed on Friday, May 29 from 1:00-4:00 PM and again for summer break from Friday, June 5th through Friday, July 24. We will reopen for registrations and back-to-school information on Monday, July 27th.

 

Registration for 2026-2027 School Year

In the coming months, you will receive more information about registration for next year. As in previous years, this process will take place through the online parent portal before the start of the school year. In early August, you will be able to view your child’s teacher assignment through the portal.

Summer EBT 

We want to make sure everyone is aware of the Summer EBT program. This gives eligible children a one-time payment of $120 to spend on food while school is on break to ensure that those that rely on free and reduced school meals still have access to food over the summer. Please reapply because it is not guaranteed that it will automatically renew if you had it in the past.

 

Summer Meal Service

Rocky Mountain Elementary will be providing meals this summer for PEAK and the public. Program details are outlined below and can be found in the flyer linked here:

• Dates: June 1st - July 16th (Monday-Thursday)
• Meal Service: Breakfast and Lunch will be available to the public
• Time: Breakfast - 8:30-9:00, Lunch - 11:00-12:00
