Office Depot helps district Elementary Schools start proud

Office Depot selected Adams 12 Five Star Schools as one of 17 school districts in the country to support students, parents, and teachers through their Start Proud! Program. 

At Rocky Mountain Elementary’s back-to-school celebration, Office Depot distributed 350 backpacks to students filled with school supplies like notebooks, crayons, pencils, highlighters, and more. Students received all of the school supplies they’ll need for the year. As students picked out their favorite backpacks, you could feel the room filled with excitement not only for the school supplies but for the school year ahead. 

Teacher Jessica Chambers was surprised with Office Depot’s All-Star Teacher award in recognition of her dedication to education and extraordinary contribution to Rocky Mountain.

More than 600 additional backpacks were given to students at Federal Heights Elementary and North Star Elementary. Overall, each backpack bundle provided more than $100 of economic relief to each family. 

Thanks to this partnership with Office Depot, our Five Star Families have what they need to start 2022-23 strong and proud! 

Local Office Depot and OfficeMax stores are also raising donations with a three-month campaign to benefit Rocky Mountain Elementary. This will enable the school to receive thousands of dollars worth of additional school and tech supplies, furniture, and more. Customers who want to help support the school can make a donation at the checkout counter at their local store through Saturday, September 24th.
