5th Grade Honors Choir

As stated on the district website,

"The Adams 12 5th Grade Honor Choir is an event that invites all elementary music teachers to bring their most dedicated 5th grade music students together to perform a collaborative concert. Each year a guest clinician from outside of the district is chosen to direct the choir. Students learn the music with their own teachers and then fine tune the music with the clinician.

This concert is traditionally held in May each year and anywhere from 150-200 students participate in this collective event. It is truly a celebration of music and the electives programming in Adams 12!

This year's concert will be held on Monday, May 6th, 2024, at 6:30 PM in the Horizon High School Auditorium."

Ms. Hoffert has held auditions and selected four talented and dedicated students to join her this year (I'd have selected more if I could, I promise!). These students will rehearse after school every Tuesday and Thursday from April 18th to May 2nd until 3:35pm.

Here is our acceptance letter for your reference.

Students, make sure to practice! Parents, if you want to keep our program a surprise for concert day, don't click below. ;) Below are links to rehearsal tracks for the songs we are singing:

  2. "Sisi Ni Moja" Jacob Narverud

  4. "Shady Grove" arr. Shirley W. McRae
