Hello. My name is Ms. Mary Maydew. This is my 19th year of teaching. For the past 18 years, I have been in Special Education in various grades including elementary, middle and high school and a combination of both moderate needs and severe cognitive. This year, I have started a new position as an ELD teacher and will be working with both special education and general education students and am the ELD teacher for our Significant Support needs students. This new position allows me to work with some previously taught students which is very exciting! This position is also split with Federal Heights Elementary. I will be at RME in the mornings and FHE for the afternoons. I received my Bachelors Degree from St. Mary's College in Michigan, my Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, and completed my coursework for my ELD teaching endorsement through Regis University in Denver. I am a proud parent to one daughter. She is a middle and elementary art teacher in Brooklyn, NY. I grew up in the beautiful state of Michigan and love to travel there as often as possible to visit my very large family and my favorite parts of the state. Rocky Mountain Elementary is a great school and I am proud to be part of this AMAZING staff! I am also very honored to have the opportunity to work with your children and will strive hard to make it one of their best learning and growing years ever!
